I’ve still barely put any load on my RTX 2060 I got last year aside from F@H.
That might change soon with Watch_Dogs Legion and Mafia Definitive Edition.

I’m waiting to see what AMD’s stuff looks like (I think October 28th is their event). The 3080 is too rich for my blood anyway, and both the 3070 and 3080 seem really skimpy on the RAM. It’s rumored AMD’s 3070 competitor will have 16GB, which seems better (of course it doesn’t matter if performance sucks).
Big Navi looks like it’s also going to be very thirsty for those watts:

It is really pretty, but I have never liked how the founder editions usually end up with cooling issues (though I don’t think this one will). If I was going to upgrade, I would replace my 2080s hydro copper with another hydro copper. I really like the factory built water block. it is really nice, keeps it very cool, and looks the bee’s knees.

I wouldn’t wait too long. The 3k is great at mining ethereum as it turns out. If crypto kicks off and up again, we could be looking at another years-long period of extraordinarily high GPU prices. I’m getting my foot in the door of one of these things before that happens.
